There was a time when managers where paid no where near what the players they managed were, but they are now beginning to be rightly recognised as the main men.

Benitez being offered here a £5 million bonus to manage United Arab Emirates national team with a £4 million salary to match his Liverpool one and a free mansion on Dubai’s exclusive Palm Island would also be thrown in.

Or manage in the Premier League, hmmmm, nice to have such choices.

As Mourinho would say, what is the project with UAE ??

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is being offered £5million to quit Anfield and manage the United Arab Emirates.
The UAE want to capitalise on Benitez’s uncertain future in England by making him an offer they hope he cannot refuse.

The Gulf oil state hope to raise their profile worldwide by appointing Benitez, just as they did 33 years ago when they lured then England manager Don Revie.

Benitez would be given a £5m ‘Golden Hello’ and a salary to match his £4m-a-year contract at Liverpool. A free mansion on Dubai’s exclusive Palm Island would also be thrown in.

The offer may be seriously considered by Benitez, whose relationship with the board and players at Anfield is at an all-time low after a fourth successive season without a trophy and failure to qualify for the Champions League
