Initial rumour that this week's fixture was against the fearsome Fenny Compton have proved unfounded. (Given they have won all 11 of their matches with a goal difference of +56 !!)

Checking the fixture list shows that actually we are playing league leaders Bell Sports Reserves instead. Phew thats a relief then !!! Or not as the case may be  :)  :)

Quick analysis of their stats shows only averaging 3.5 goals scored a game so not too much to worry about with their strikers. Defensively averaging 2 goals a game conceded and they have lost 5 matches. So a good performance will see us in with a shout here.

Big set back for the attendence figures next week then as I know 25% of last saturdays crowd (i.e. me !!) is in York being dragged away on a sightseeing tour.

Which is a great shame as I suspect that being away to a club called Bell Sports suggests that they may even have some facilities there like for example a clubhouse and a bar.

So looking for a big recovery from the team after last weeks cup disappointment, in particular I'll be looking out for:
- no more balls thrown against the back of Jordans head in the penalty area (Interesting that our goalkeeper was wearing an Arsenal top given what followed in the Carling Cup final the next day !!)
- try marking at corners or maybe deploying a zonal marking system that includes covering the 6 yard box !!
- applying the Sam Allardyce "smash it" rule to defenders in possession, or more traditionally known as "hit row Z"
- A stunning energetic performance from Bundah following his second half "relaxing" last week
- just how fast is Minty on those crutches, could he not just play anyway. (if Roger Johnson can do it for Birmingham !!)

Well I missed this game and found Matt not greatly enthusiastic about talking about it. Rubbish match was his general view.

Still some key players missing, centre back Minty still injured, Toby up front not available, central midfielder Matt filling in in goal.

Lost 4-0, so eyes turn to next week against one of the bottom of the table sides!!

Big game then .............
