The Wonga Issue
« on: October 16, 2012, 10:44:32 pm »
Apparently the whole Wonga sponsorship deal has been causing some concern amongst some of the players.
But Alan Pardew as expected has been towing the party line, with the resulting team talk including something about the players just needing to concentrate & just make sure they give 4000.99998%

Ha ha.

I hear wonga are funding our next player purchase with a long term loan.

Problem being that the new player contracts say they have to pay the interest on their transfer fee loan.

And if they won't wear the wonga logo they have to pay the transfer fee as well !

On the plus side we just sold the naming rights for St James Park and the buyers have decided to name it St James Park...good business

Apparently some of the muslim players MAY opt not to wear the Wonga logo on their shirts, can't see it being a huge issue...
