Mon 14th March - Leicester 1 Newcastle 0

Decent team selection from Rafa given that we have barely any fit defenders.

Good to see he has put Perez wide left and wijnaldum central which is where we've seen the best performances from the team recently.

Substitutions will be interesting tonight, no defenders on the bench i've heard of, almost exclusively strikers to bring on.

I can't imagine his instructions to the team will be to sit deep and defend which would be the McClaren game plan as we slip to another 1-0 defeat.

Hopefully we'll be deployed to attack, we've got nothing to lose away to Leicester and with our defence then sitting back is suicidal, McClaren has proved that week after week.

not good enough, a team like Newcastle should be beating relegation fodder like Leicester no problems. #RafaOut

Thought we did ok tonight.

Good practice for Rafa. This match was not in the schedule of wins to get to 40 points.

Good to see some intelligent substitutions and tactical acuman at last. I thought it was the club cat that picked the team and decided on the substitutions but Rafa seems to have taken control of that department now.
