Well as we settle down to watch the last Premier League match at St James for the foreseeable future. Lets hope it's all about persuading Rafa to stay and the players sign off with a good performance.

The teams got a few surprises in it which suggests Rafa is having a last look at some players he's not seen much of i.e. Taylor and Janmaat so he can decide what to do over the summer.

The experiment of starting with Cisse has been abandoned thank heavens, Mitrovic might be struggling in front of goal right now but you can't deny his outstanding contribution in every other aspect.

Team is :
                                     Darlow
Janmaat         Taylor             Mbemba        Dummett
                      Colback                     Tiote
Townsend                      Sissoko                Wijnaldum
                                    Mitrovic

with the subs bench - Woodman, Sterry, Shelvey, Aarons, De Jong, Perez, Cisse

Good luck the Toon, lets finish on a high

Apparently Anita is injured and Lascelles is ill.

Otherwise Rafa's favourite team of late bar the giving up on Cisse

Half time, 2-0 up, everything on track to persuade Rafa to stay.

I do wonder if he had not abandoned his experiment with Cisse earlier we might have beaten Villa last week with Mitrovic on for 90 minutes.

Anyway, whats done is done.

The Sunderland aeroplane flying round is a bit pathetic really, they should give the money to charity rather than waste it on a pointless exercise. Whoever paid for that nonsense should be ashamed and find something better to do with their time and money.

The problem with Mitrovic, he gets a red card for stamping, just as he did at the start of the season.

He can be a liability, but should he be staying for next season he'll be missing the first 3 matches of our Championship campaign.

who would have thought we would score 3 goals after Mitrovic got sent off.

All eyes on Rafa now, it's seems inconceivable that he would leave now

So we finish the season by being the only team to do the double over Tottenham and the only team not to beat Villa  :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

What price the easy chances missed against Villa now which would have given us 4 more points.

The three sitters last week and the glaring open goal miss by de Jong in the last few minutes of the home match 1-1 draw against Villa.
