Keegan "2 more players definately and possibly 3" – by John Ingram

In an interview with NufcTV today Keegan says there will definately be 2 players signed this summer and possibly 3, of the calibre of Jonas Gutierrez and Danny Guthrie. The squad currently though is high quality and a big squad when everyone is fit.

Well Kevin your talking it up well and we want to believe you.

I assume one of those players will be Fabricio Coloccini and possibly Warnock from Blackburn as the left back.

When you look at what we have though for the friendly against PSV Eindhoven:

Possible team:

Harper,
Beye, Faye, Taylor, Enrique,
Duff, Butt, Milner, Gutierrez
Martins Smith

with Bassong, Cacapa, Guthrie, Geremi, Edgar available and probably on the bench

injury doubts over N'Zogbia, Given

and the list of definately not playing:
Barton, Viduka, Owen, Ameobi, Carroll, Lua Lua

I'm not seeing the size or the quality compared to the top 9 Premier League sides i.e. Man United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham, Everton, Man City, Portsmouth, Aston Villa.

Without an attacking midfield player which we just don't possess and a big holding target man up front (when Viduka is not available) then we are playing for 10th place at best.

Unless something magical happens Kevin we'll be watching Premiership Years 1998 on Sky forever, I guess thats why Keegan was brought back.
