Allardyce has had another busy week in his team building efforts and is clearly keeping his cards close to his chest.
After tieing up the loose ends in a £3m deal for David Rozehnal priority at present still seems to be another centre half and a right back given activities around Edmilson and Geremi. Though despite confident public declarations about Owen and Martins the constant rumours about Craig Bellamy and Eidur Gudjohnsen suggest Allardyce is still not fully certain who will be scoring the goals for us next season.
Meanwhile it was good to see Kieran Dyer enjoying himself at Caesers Palace, Las Vegas for the Ricky Hatton fight last week. Suppose he is on holiday now but does Dyer know the difference between how to behave on holiday and how to behave during the season ??
Also some fighting talk from Celestine Babayaro as he states on his recent trip to Nigeria that he’s not worried about new players arriving at the club and he has not been told he is surplus to requirements.
Well in Dyer and Babayaro we certainly have two players who will severely test Allardyce’s claims that he can bring the best out of players and restore them to their former glories.
